此次講座將圍繞於「關於東亞的藝術與後佔領」,並發表新書《諸眾—東亞藝術佔領行動》。

由高俊宏與麥巔以武漢、香港與日本等地的佔領歷史為主軸展開對談,藉由案例的討論同時打開從另類地緣政治的角度思考東亞連帶。諸眾(Multitude)一詞最早來自史賓諾莎,強調人的特異性、內在性。到了二十世紀則由內格理及哈特發展為對抗帝國主義的力量。《諸眾—東亞藝術佔領行動》一書則是關於東亞相關基進藝術案例研究。

2012年起,藝術家高俊宏持續前往日本東京、沖繩、香港、韓國首爾、濟州島、中國武漢地區採訪並考察,以東亞地區的藝術家們包含日本的市村美佐子(Misako Ichimura)、韓國藝術家金江(Kim Kang)、金潤煥(Kim Youn-hoan)、武漢「我們家青年自治實驗室」、香港「活化廳」及台灣多位藝術家為例,探討他們如何深入各自的社會進行藝術實踐。

講者介紹

高俊宏 1973年出生於台北。藝術關注議題包括歷史、諸眾、空間、生命政治、新自由主義、社群、邊緣、仕紳化、東亞等。藝術形式廣及行動、錄像、觀念、文字評論、小說等。台北藝¬術大學美術系、台南藝術大學創作理論研究所博士班。

“Multitude: Squatting, Art and Action in East Asia illuminates the spectrum of ‘multitude in East Asia’ of the historical presence that the artist seek to transcribe the structural confinements of the global neoliberalism movement.” By Gong Jow-Juin

The book launch of Multitude: Squatting, Art and Action in East Asia acts as a talk to address art and the post squatting phenomenon in East Asia.

The conversations between Kao Jun-Honn and Mai Dian will depart from the squatting histories in Wuhan, Hong Kong and Japan to look for an alternative geopolitical perspective to generate different insights to perceive the connections in East Asia. Borrowed from Spinoza’s philosophy, “multitude” is originally a term that emphasizes the internal individualities of human being and later employed by Hardt and Negri to narrate the resistance force against the empirical power. Multitude: Squatting, Art and Action in East Asia is a survey on the radical examples of artistic practice in the region.

Since 2012, Kao has conducted an extensive field research in Tokyo, Okinawa, Hong Kong, Seoul, Jeju, and Wuhan for case study, and visited many artists including Misako Ichimura, Kim Kang, Kim Youn-hoan, Wuhan Desireè Youth Autonomy Center, Woofer Ten and many local artists in Taiwan. The book investigates a wide range of practitioners’ work in their very own contexts to understand how they engage their own society with art.

About speakers:
Kao Jun-Honn
Born 1973, Taipei. Kao is interested in subjects of history, multitude, space, biopolitics, neoliberalism, community, margin, gentrification, East Asia and so on. His practice is mediated in various art form, including action, video, conceptual work, critique and fiction writing. He is currently doing the doctoral program in Art Creation and Theory in Tainan National University of the Arts.

Mai Dian
Member of Wuhan Desireè Youth Autonomy Center and the punk band Fanzui Xiangfa.
