God is against all and all against God.

I was put behind the bars for robbery three times

Knife, hot glue and urine were materials and ink for my tattoos

Those eight-pointed stars on my shoulders signify my robbery business

Beating up a chick was the cause for my last sentence

Mates in the jail warned me not to rob again when my new crime was exposed

My robbery life ended

New tattoos on my arms implies:

I am floating among icebergs all by myself.

People worship the criminal culture and exiled families in Siberia. A tattoo of Holy Mother Mary on a criminal’s chest means he was caught and jailed before the age of eighteen. A snake on the neck indicates the background of a drug dealer. A mermaid says a rape history. A Knife on collarbone indicates a murdering case inside the jail and the tattoo wearer of it is still open to accept commissions. The highest gay leader of the criminals would wear two stars on his shoulders and one fish on his belly. The Siberian subculture tradition embraces the culture of anti-power and anti-ownership. Property is considered to be cowards’ burden.

I am not contributing anything beneficial to the society.

This talk attempts to investigate the criminal culture and their organizational philosophy based on the photo archive of Russian officer Arkady Bronnikov’s government photography archive on criminals. There were at least 35 millions of people put behind the bars in Russia between 1960s to 1980s due to their criminal records, policing force or political reasons, and they served to do laboring works for logging, steel manufacturing, sewing police uniforms, etc. For criminals, tattoos represent their honorable deeds, their underground social ranks and privileges as virtual weapons and currency in the world’s end days.
